Orchards and farms in Great Smoky Mountains
Great Smoky Mountains National Park straddles the Tennessee and North Carolina line and is the most visited national park in the country. The Tennessee side has busy tourist towns and theme parks, the North Carolina side has quieter mountain towns and river rafting. Apple season runs through the fall, with pick-your-own rows, cider and farm stores. Henderson County in North Carolina and Fannin and Gilmer counties in Georgia are known for it.
