Scenic drives in Great Smoky Mountains
Great Smoky Mountains National Park straddles the Tennessee and North Carolina line and is the most visited national park in the country. The Tennessee side has busy tourist towns and theme parks, the North Carolina side has quieter mountain towns and river rafting. The Blue Ridge Parkway and Skyline Drive are slow roads built for looking. Pull-offs and overlooks let you stop whenever the view calls for it.
