Rivers, lakes and fishing in Great Smoky Mountains
Great Smoky Mountains National Park straddles the Tennessee and North Carolina line and is the most visited national park in the country. The Tennessee side has busy tourist towns and theme parks, the North Carolina side has quieter mountain towns and river rafting. Whitewater rafting, tubing, canoeing and trout fishing are all within reach. Lakes in the south of the range add swimming and boating.
